Art and History, What?

[WARNING,THIS ARTICLE IS JUST A RESULT OF TWISTED MIND]

Yep, it’s one of our favourite suvbject to talk about and yet the subject we least respected, we rarely respected the artist and we’re often mocked their results. But, do we really know what is art?

On the other hand, we (especially Indonesian) have a very low regard about history a common dillema in the third world.

So, the Writer decide to write a light article about this ,somehow, boring subject.

Let’s start with,What is art?

An art is ,according to wikipedia, a term used to describe a particular type of creative production generated by human beings. Why do the writer write this? Because, We usually have a stereotype that art is a painting, a music or a sculpture. Well, according to the Writer, An Art is not that few, for example, a light bulb, a light bulb is an art, imagine how much creativity you need to create a light bulb, or a simple bowl of soup, just imagine! How many times do you need to experiment to create a bowl of delicious soup. Say, if you taste the soup for the first time, you say that the soup need a pinch of salt, it’s your creativity that tells you that you need a pinch of salt. And a product of creativity can’t be mocked. Why? Fisrt, how do you mock a thing? You compare it first,right? Since product of creativity can’t be compared, except there is a duplicate of it, It is, no matter how much you mocked it, unique and original. And originality and uniqueness is a part of perfectness. That’s why they said that art is an essence of life, or it just me? Dunno, but without it, what would live be?

haha, confused? Just take it easy, it’s just a product of my creativity, hehe…

The second subject, I would like to talk about, History…

“Man,History sucks…”~Writer’s friend~

Yep, that’s normal, even for you….

But,just think of it, what will you do without your past? hehe… You’ll just end up like the dramas or perhaps you can be a good source of story.. hehe…just kiddin…

Without history, what would live be? Perhaps we just repeating old mistakes again and again and again…… and again…….

But why do we hate history so much, especially students? Well, there’s a grievous mistake about how to teach history, learning history, usually, is boring.Why? because the teacher just repeat what is written in the book. A good history lessons should be filled with debates, reenactment, and visiting historic sites. Don’t get bored when you’re inside a museum, you should watch, use your imagination and feel…. If you’re used to go to the museum , you can feel what would live be at that point of time. if you watch a diorama about battle of the bulge perhaps, you should feel how did the soldiers feel, how did the general feel, how’s life at that point ot time, etc…

hehe… that’s all that i can say… hehe… since the writer is quiet busy, he can’t write too often. Really sorry….
